Oman et la Mer
Designing Clarity Within a Maritime Narrative
Presented at the National Maritime Museum in Paris, Oman et la Mer explores the Sultanate of Oman’s maritime heritage through a rich collection of artefacts, historical documents, navigational instruments, and traditional ship models that reflect centuries of seafaring knowledge and cultural exchange. The exhibition brings together historical depth and contemporary curatorial storytelling, offering visitors a structured journey through Oman’s enduring relationship with the sea within an international museum context.
Across the gallery, maritime narratives are translated into clear visual systems and spatial communication tools, guiding interpretation through bilingual content (French and Arabic) and supporting an intuitive visitor experience that connects objects, stories,
and geography into a cohesive exhibition journey.
